“Even though I was born in Bangladesh, my dad came over in the 60s and my mum came over with us in 1972, so I’ve spent most of my life here. After working here and being so able to understand English and access so many things, I haven’t felt difficulty integrating. But, I saw parents that were struggling, and I thought I needed to help them. I just love seeing when something finally clicks in the children, you kind of think, ‘wow do I have that kind of impact?’ Our school reflects Camden values and a Camden way of life. There’s a really good mix of children and no majorities, but they all seem to work together, and I know that helping them get together and be more inclusive is helping everyone.”
